The Scoiattoli Refuge, immersed in its postcard panorama, is literally a few steps away from the 5 Torri, Cortina’s most famous climbing crag. You can get there on foot or with the chairlift. With its excellent Mountain Café service, this mountain refuge is ideal for a refreshment break in the welcoming hut or on the fantastic panoramic terrace.
A stp for a sweet snack at the welcoming Fedare Refuge, located in a sunny and very panoramic position at the Giau Pass, next to the chairlift, a stop for a sweet snack will be a pleasant surprise. Ivan Troi, who owns this refuge together with his mother Anna, prepares delicious cakes and desserts. The Fedare Refuge is open daily; in the low season, the weekly closing day is Friday.

This refuge is an authentic eagle's nest built on the summit of Mount Nuvolau (2575 metres high!). It has been renowned since the dawn of mountaineering for its breathtaking view overlooking Cortina, the Giau Pass and the Marmolada. Far away from the ski lifts and the chaos of the centre of Cortina, it is easy to reach on foot. The view that opens up from the top, especially at dawn, is simply magnificent.
On the saddle Forcella Nuvolau, between the 5 Torri and the Falzarego Pass, the Averau Refuge offers guests an excellent Mountain Cafė service. Surrounded by pure nature and the incomparable beauty of the Dolomite peaks, this unique setting is the perfect place to enjoy a sweet or savoury snack or a quick light meal.
The Lago d’Ajal Refuge is mirrored in the water of the same-named romantic alpine lake. Known for the beauty of the place and the excellent cuisine of the restaurant, this refuge also offers a convenient and fast Mountain Café service. On the large terrace, a cosy corner with a view of the lake has been set up specifically for guests who want to enjoy snacks, light meals or aperitifs.
This brand new "Mountain Cafė" in the Cortina Delicious area is located at 2,732 metres above sea level and offers a vast range of refreshments for all tastes. It lies in an incomparably beautiful panoramic position and can be easily reached with the Lagazuoi cable car or with a hike of approximately one and a half hours on the "Frontline Trail" from the Falzarego Pass.
Halfway between Cortina d’Ampezzo and the Falzarego and Giau passes, Hotel Villa Argentina is a true paradise for lovers of sports and families. For those who are seeking somewhere for their children to play, the extensive park with its garden set among meadows and snow-covered ski slopes away from the traffic is a guarantee of safety and relaxation.

This is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Cortina. Situated far away from lift facilities and roads, the Croda da Lago Refuge is the ideal place for a rest on the panoramic terrace or in the interiors, where the style of the refuges of the past has been preserved (it was built in 1901!). The special thing about this place is the view and Lake Federa next to the refuge.
Just 5 km from the centre of Cortina, on the road to the Giau Pass, the Peziè de Parù Refuge offers an excellent Mountain Cafė service. A sunbathing terrace, deck chairs, all-around high altitude pastures amid imposing Dolomite peaks: this is an extraordinary place for a refreshment stop to enjoy a snack, an aperitif or a light meal.
