Being accompanied by a mountain guide gives you the benefit of experienced professionals in complete safety on selected routes.
The Delicious Cortina area offers a wide network of hiking trails with enchanting panoramic views, from easy walks through the woods and high mountain pastures to the most challenging via ferratas.
And let's not forget the numerous crags and climbing routes of the Cortina Delicious area.
Contrary to popular belief, anyone can approach rock climbing, although it is important to do it under the guidance of professionals.
Cortina's mountain guides have been working in the area for over 150 years.
Their history began in 1864 when Paul Grohmann, alpine pioneer of the Dolomites and founder of the Austrian Alpine Club, handed over the first mountain guide license to Francesco Lacedelli.
Today, with 28 mountain guides operating, the “Gruppo Guide Alpine di Cortina” is the largest mountain guide association in the Eastern Alps.
Cortina's mountain guides offer a wide range of possibilities. Both in summer and in winter, their programme includes historical and naturalistic theme hikes, climbing routes and normal routes, rock climbing courses, via ferratas, skiing and freeride tours, ice climbing, trekking and international expeditions.
