Being accompanied by a mountain guide gives you the benefit of experienced professionals in complete safety on selected routes.
Contrary to popular belief, anyone can approach rock climbing, although it is important to do it under the guidance of professionals.
Cortina's mountain guides have been working in the area for over 150 years.
Their history began in 1864 when Paul Grohmann, alpine pioneer of the Dolomites and founder of the Austrian Alpine Club, handed over the first mountain guide license to Francesco Lacedelli.
Today, with 28 mountain guides operating, the “Gruppo Guide Alpine di Cortina” is the largest mountain guide association in the Eastern Alps.
Cortina's mountain guides offer a wide range of possibilities. Both in summer and in winter, their programme includes historical and naturalistic theme hikes, climbing routes and normal routes, rock climbing courses, via ferratas, skiing and freeride tours, ice climbing, trekking and international expeditions.
In particular for Cortina Delicious, the mountain guides offer Delicious Tours and the Delicious Slow Trekking ( on the night between 23rd and 24th July 2022): itineraries that will show you the wonder of walking in the Dolomites.
During the stops at the refuges you will be able to sample their delicious dishes - a delightful gourmet experience to make your hike even more memorable.
The 4 Climb & Ride " multi-sport" days, a combination of e-bike, via ferratas and climbing routes, are challenging and captivating.
The Delicious Cortina team, which also includes the Gruppo Guide Alpine mountain guides, organizes all kinds of events throughout the year: from high altitude concerts, parties on the panoramic terraces, exhibitions and meetings in the cultural centres of the area, historical re-enactments in the museums of WWI, sports competitions, themed dinners and photo competitions to solidarity events. The complete list of all these experiences is published in the events calendar.
