Here are some routes that cross our area, always starting from Cortina d'Ampezzo:

We highly recommend a visit to the following places of historical interest:

  • The Pocol War Cemetery and Shrine: also visible from the center of Cortina, the Shrine stands as a medieval fortress among the green woods on top of the hill of Pocol overlooking Cortina on the west side;
  •     the Andraz castle: one of the oldest castles in the Dolomites, it was built in 1027 on a large boulder of a landslide and was placed to defend the smelters and the road where the iron dug in the mines of Mount Pore was transported;
  •  the open-air museums of the Great War: this is the largest museum area of the Great War in the Dolomites, consisting of the open-air museums of Lagazuoi, the 5 Torri, the Sasso di Stria and the museum of Forte Tre Sassi.
