We invite you to visit the Lagazuoi 5 Torri area, a perfect combination of nature and history, in one of the most beautiful areas of the Dolomites.
On these mountains an incredible war was waged between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies.
As a memorial to those tragic events, the most extensive museum of the First World War has been set up, consisting of the open-air museums of of Mt. Lagazuoi, at the 5 Torri and the Sasso di Stria and the museum of the Tre Sassi Fort.
The museum area extends over a range of 5 kilimetres, introducing visitors to the background of the dramatic events of WW1 in the mountains, on one of the most breathtaking walks in the Dolomites.
Throughout the summer season, you can visit the Lagazuoi open-air museum accompanied by a re-enactor wearing the uniform of the 3rd Regiment of the Tiroler Kaiserjäger, in full kit. You can book your guided tour using the reservation app but you can also meet the historical re-enactor on the cable car’s terrace. No entrance fee, but donations are welcome.
With historical re-enactors you can visit the Cima Gallina and Edelweiss emlacements. Contacts for more information: (+39)377 2802867 - 339 4425105 - 348 2319299.
