The Lagazuoi and Armentarola ski runs

From the Falzarego Pass, the Lagazuoi cable car takes you up almost to the summit. From the top station, at an altitude of 2.732 metres, you have a magnificent view of the entire Cortina Delicious ski area.
Once at the top, you can choose between two ski runs: the Lagazuoi piste, which skirts the mountain and ends at the Falzarego Pass, and the famous Armentarola piste, which connects Cortina d'Ampezzo with the Badia Valley.

The Lagazuoi piste

The sunny Lagazuoi piste overlooks the entire Cortina Delicious ski area.
A quick cable car trip from the Falzarego Pass will bring you to the start of the Lagazuoi ski run, a stunning technically refined slope offering varying gradients, sweeping curves, and gentle bumps.
The ever-changing directions and perspectives, offer a wide variety of panoramic views.

While providing a breathtaking panorama, this ski slope holds a unique historical significance, as it crosses the front line of Mt. Lagazuoi during WW1, allowing for a visit to the only emplacement reachable on skis.

With a length of 2,470 metres and a vertical drop of 635 metres, this red ski run leads to the Falzarego Pass and to the valley station of the Lagazuoi cable car.

The Armentarola ski run

The 8.5 km long Armentarola is definitely the most famous slope in the Dolomites and one of the most beautiful ski runs in the world.
Arriving from Cortina d’Ampezzo or Badia, take the Lagazuoi cable car at the Falzarego pass, which in only three minutes reaches an altitude of 2.732 metres. Once you reach the top, a breathtaking panorama opens up: make a stop to enjoy it from the terrace of the top station. From there, the spectacular descent from Mount Lagazuoi to the Capanna Alpina Refuge meanders through a unique, majestic landscape.

The Armentarola slope unfolds along the foot of the imposing Fanes mountain in an enchanting fairy-tale valley surrounded by majestic castles of rock and frozen waterfalls, making this magical descent an endless flow of thrills and surprises.

And, as in every self-respecting fairy tale, the ski track ends with a horse-drawn tow that brings the skiers back to the starting point, from where they can ski down the same slope again or go on fabulous new adventures, either continuing towards the Badia ski area or returning to the Falzarego Pass ski area by means of a taxibus.
