It serves as a prime gateway to the Dolomiti d'Ampezzo Natural Park and the attractions of Cortina Delicious, as well as a starting point for excursions on foot, by bike, or on a mountain bike.
Featuring a panoramic sun terrace, parking, and a bar, the hotel is nestled right on the slopes of the Tofane ski area. It's also a stone's throw away from the Cortina Skyline, the recently built cable car that connects the Tofane ski area to the 5 Torri Lagazuoi and Giau ski area.
The history of this place
The charm of Ciasa Vervei is deeply rooted in its history. Built upon the remains of a World War I structure, the 'Ciasa' was once the home of the roadman who maintained the historic Strada delle Dolomiti (SS 48). The renovation of the old roadman's house into a hotel was made possible by the Regole d'Ampezzo, which govern the territory of the Ampezzo Dolomites Natural Park. This ancient institution emerged as a family consortium of the original families, formed to collectively manage pastures and forests. Recognized by state law, the Regole d'Ampezzo now symbolize the historical and cultural identity of the country.

The hotel boasts eight rooms, three of which are located within the main building and five in an external structure, all built with a focus on eco-sustainable architecture. Their orientation has been carefully designed to offer exclusive panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The use of materials like raw clay on some walls and larch and pine wood for the furnishings evokes natural elements, inviting guests to appreciate the unique beauty that surrounds them. The green roofs of the rooms in the external body have been designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape, providing excellent natural thermal insulation and shielding against electromagnetic waves.

The establishment has a dual nature, serving as both a traditional restaurant, the Franz Joseph Stube, led by the expert chef Mauro, and a small mountain hotel, where Katia, a passionate sommelier, meticulously curates the well-stocked wine cellar. The menu showcases traditional Ampezzo and Ladin dishes, closely tied to the region, alongside regional and Italian classics. You can relax in the warm and inviting wooden dining room or on the panoramic sun terrace, overlooking the Cortina basin surrounded by the majestic Monte Cristallo, Tofane, and Pomagagnon.
