This is an easy hike that can also be done with an all-terrain stroller. It leads to the Lago d'Ajal Refuge, a small jewel in the middle of a natural paradise that is mirrored in the water of the homonymous lake.
Located in the Regole d'Ampezzo nature park, after a radical renovation this refuge blends in with the surroundings and is an unmissable destination for those who want to discover the wonders of the Cortina Delicious area.
The way back is on the way there. Before, do not miss a visit to the mountain refuge Malga Peziè de Parù. It is picturesquely situated on a large high mountain pasture next to a small stream, where children can safely play in a fairytale place.

You can leave your car next to the Malga Peziè de Parù Refuge (about 1 km from the hamlet Pocol on the road towards the Giau pass) next to the hiking signposts. There take the trail no. 434. After crossing the bridge over the Rio de Costeana, turn left (signpost no. 431) and walk along the stream. When you arrive at the next crossroads, continue straight ahead on path no. 431. After a stretch through a coniferous and beech forest, with strawberries, raspberries and blueberries along the way, in the fresh air away from the busy streets, you reach a clearing where there is the unserviced hut "Cason del Macaròn" with its beautiful wooden well with clear water. Many deer live in this area and with a bit of luck, you can spot them. From this hut, a path descends to a barrier. Immediately afterwards, next to a depression in the ground, turn right. Then, after a very short uphill stretch, you reach Lake Ajal and the lovely little mountain refuge on its shores.
