With the Perseids meteor shower in full swing, the Moon, stars, and Saturn will shine brightly
Observation of the sky from the Averau Refuge
On 12th and 13th August, at an altitude of 2,416 m, the Averau Refuge has scheduled sky observation in collaboration with Astronomitaly, the association which has assigned this refuge the Golden Certification "The most beautiful skies in Italy".
Two professionals equipped with telescopes will be will be at the disposal of anyone who wants to observe the celestial bodies during the annual magnificent Perseids meteor shower.
Programme
MONDAY, 12TH AUGUST
- 8.00 p.m.: enjoy stargazing with an astronomical observation of the night sky, including stars, star clusters, and visible planets. Keep an eye out for Saturn in the eastern sky around 10.30 p.m. and don't miss the chance to spot the legendary Perseids.
Dinner à la carte and jeep service*.
TUESDAY 13TH AUGUST
- 9:30 a.m. / 5:00 p.m.: **delight in observing the sun with a solar telescope and a second telescope with a special filter;
- 8 p.m. - Delight in observing the night sky with stars, star clusters, and visible planets. Be on the lookout for the famous Perseids meteor shower.
Dinner à la carte and jeep service*.

- A shuttle service from Cianzopè is available at 7 p.m. (25 euros round trip per person)
- The menu is à la carte
- *For the evenings of 12th and 13th August, the cover charge including use of the telescopes is 15.00 euros*.
- **Sun observation on 13th August incurs a fee of 5,00 euros.

- You can get to the Averau Refuge from the Giau Pass by taking the Fedare chair lift or on foot from the Scoiattoli Refuge, which you can reach with the 5 Torri chairlift.
