The Andraz Castle management has organised special openings for this winter. Don't miss out on the opportunity to visit one of the oldest castles in the Dolomites in winter, as it is usually only open during the summer season.
Visits are by prior reservation only, accompanied by a guide.
This ancient manor boasts an unusual history of the Dolomite Ladins of the Upper Agordino.
It rises beyond the Falzarego Pass and is one of the most ancient castles in the Dolomites. It was built in 1027 over a great landslide to defend the foundries and the road along which the iron dug out of the mines of Mount Pore travelled.
Restored and improved with state-of-the-art methods, it is now a very active cultural centre offering all kinds of events.
