Experience history hands-on

Cortina Delicious offers you an immersion in history while walking in the nature paradise of the Dolomites.

These mountains bear the indelible signs of one of the most terrible events of the twentieth century: the First World War and,  especially, the bloody battles fought at high altitude.

Thanks to the cooperation of the former enemies, the Italian and Austro-Hungarian emplacements on the peaks surrounding the Falzarego pass have been restored.

Thus has led to realization of the largest museum of the First World War, consisting of three open-air museums, Lagazuoi, 5 Torri and Sasso di Stria, and the Tre Sassi fort.

Visiting these sites is an alternative way to learn the history, safely and outdoors.

These war sites can easily be reached on foot or by lift facilities, the visit is free of charge. Easy hiking trails lead along emplacements, through trenches and carefully restored tunnels.

We pay special attention to children: up to the age of seven, if accompanied by a paying  adult, the rides on the lift facilities are for free. Discounts are provided for groups and children between 8 and 15 years.
