Access to the race finish area and the Cortina Delicious ski area
during the 2024 Women's Ski World Cup
PLEASE NOTE. During the World Cup races, only the Olimpia ski run will be closed.
All other slopes in Cortina are open and accessible!
Cortina d'Ampezzo has drawn up a mobility plan for the period from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th January 2024, aimed at guaranteeing safety and access to the competition area of the Women's Ski World Cup.
There will be traffic restrictions from Cortina to Pocol and in the area between the Giau and Falzarego Passes, BUT ACCESS TO THE CORTINA DELICIOUS SKI AREA (LAGAZUOI - 5 TORRI - GIAU - COL GALLINA) WILL BE GUARANTEED.
Residents, second home owners and local business owners in the designated area are eligible to request transit passes exempting them from traffic restrictions on the following days and at the following times:
- on the municipal road from Gilardon to Piè Tofana from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th January 2024, from 6.30 a.m. to 3 p.m.;
- on regional road 48, from Ponte Corona to Pocol, on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th January 2024 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.; until 11:00 a.m. only on Friday 26th January.
Transit will always be guaranteed for emergency, public and essential service vehicles, even when the road is closed.
DURING THE WORLD CUP, YOU CAN USE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS TO REACH THE CORTINA DELICIOUS SKI AREA (LAGAZUOI, 5 TORRI, GIAU AND COL GALLINA) OR THE RACE VENUE:
> Those who want to reach the competition area on skis
- from the centre of Cortina, will take the Freccia nel Cielo cable car that runs from the Ice Stadium to Col Druscié, and from there descend to the Rumerlo parterre;
- from the Falzarego Pass, will ski towards the 5 Torri and take the Cortina Skyline gondola lift from Bai de Dones to Son dei Prade, descend on piste 19 towards the start of the Tofana Express chairlift and continue towards the Rumerlo parterre, via Piè Tofana.
> Those who are already in Cortina can take city bus route no. 3, which runs from the bus station to Gilardon every 30 minutes from 07:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To attend the races, visitors will take the Socrepes chairlift to the parterre at Rumerlo. For those wanting to get to the Cortina Delicious ski area from Socrepes, the Cortina Skyline gondola lift to Bai de Dones provides a convenient connection to the 5 Torri ski area, granting access to all the nearby skiing opportunities.
> Those arriving in Cortina from the south by car, can leave their car at the interchange parking lot at Acquabona, from where a continuous shuttle service (from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) will take guests to the valley stations of the Tofana lift facilities at Gilardon. To attend the races, visitors will take the Socrepes chairlift to the parterre at Rumerlo. For those wanting to get to the Cortina Delicious ski area from Socrepes, the Cortina Skyline gondola lift to Bai de Dones provides a convenient connection to the 5 Torri ski area, granting access to all the nearby skiing opportunities.
> Those who live some distance away and prefer not to drive can take the Supporters' Bus. Five round trips can be booked on Flexymob:
- Mestre Treviso - Conegliano - Cortina
- Colfosco - Corvara - La Villa - San Cassiano - Cortina
- Feltre - Belluno - Longarone - Pieve di Cadore - Cortina
- Agordo - Cortina
- Udine - Pordenone – Cortina
The terminal of these runs is the Socrepes chairlift car park, from where you can reach the Rumerlo Finish Area.
